Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
Mark R. Allen is responsible for overseeing the international and domestic legal, security, and government affairs for FedEx Corporation and its subsidiaries. His role includes ensuring that global business activities comply with international, federal, state, and local regulations. Additionally, he is a member of the five-person Executive Committee that plans and executes the corporation’s strategic initiatives.

During his tenure at FedEx, Mark R. Allen has directed international commercial and aviation negotiations, managed global government relations, and handled a wide range of corporate governance, regulatory, security, and operations matters. With extensive international experience from years of living and working abroad, he has been instrumental in the global growth and expansion of FedEx.
Before assuming his current position in October 2017, Allen was based in Europe as the Senior Vice President and International General Counsel for FedEx Express. He joined FedEx in 1982 from private law practice in Memphis and has held various transactional and regulatory positions within the Legal department. His international assignments include serving as General Counsel for the Canadian Region in Toronto (1992), the Asia Pacific Region in Hong Kong (1996), and the Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Indian Subcontinent Region in Brussels (2000).
Allen serves on the Board of Directors for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. Chamber Institute for Legal Reform, and the Youth Villages nonprofit organization in Memphis. He graduated from the University of Mount Union in 1977 and the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 1980.
